A number of young writers and poets have been given a shot at success in Britain’s booming new literary scene, but are they up to the challenge?
A recent poll by the New Literary Alliance (NLA) found that nearly a quarter of those surveyed were not up to scratch in terms of the “level of ability and imagination” required to publish.
While it is important that all young writers find a niche in the UK’s burgeoning literary scene and take it seriously, it’s important that we don’t forget that young people have the potential to make a difference.

Join us on Wednesday 14 August for a special feature from the NLA called The New Literary Arts.
