The cover of the third book in the The Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins is a bit of a no-brainer.
It features a giant red sun and an alligator snapping a neck.
And as a bonus, the words “Hunger Games” and “book” are stamped across the cover.
It reads: “In this world, it is not enough to just survive.
You must hunt, fight, and survive.
In the world of The Hunger games, there is only one way to survive: To survive.”
The cover art for the third installment in the popular movie series by Michael Bay has the word “hunger” on a white background.
But what if you had to read the words out loud to see the full image?
That’s what one Redditor did.
He posted a photo of the cover on Reddit, along with the caption, “I need a way to read this book cover on my phone and my iPhone doesn’t have an AMOLED display yet so I can’t see the word ‘Hunger.'”
The image, which has since been shared more than 100,000 times, was originally submitted by a Redditor who had trouble viewing the image on his iPhone’s AMOLON display, a panel made by Samsung.
In response to the poster’s query, the Reddit user, who goes by the name of Faux-Killer, decided to take matters into his own hands.
In the comments section, Faux asked for advice on how to read cover images.
“If the image is blank, what do I do?
Does it look like I’m reading from the front of the book?
Do I need to move the picture around to see what’s going on?
How can I read this cover without looking at the screen?”
He added, “It’s kind of a pain in the ass, but I don’t think it’s really worth it to read out loud.
Just type the word and move the image around, it’ll be fine.”
Faux was able to successfully read the text on his phone’s AMolON display.
He wrote on Reddit that he’s going to use the method he learned from a friend.
“He had to go to an online store, he went to the store and asked for an image to take, but the guy said that they couldn’t do that because the AMOLEN panels are not designed for that,” he wrote.
“So they did what anyone would do in the world that is too damn stupid: they made a custom screen and printed out an AMLON panel that they used.
The screen is about 5 inches high, so that’s about 10 pixels per inch of AMOLIN, so the AMLONS panels will fit perfectly.
This guy has done it.”
Fux told ABC News that he decided to share his experience because he thinks other readers might be in the same position.
“I think this might be something that people are struggling with and might want to take the time to do a little research on their own,” he said.
“It might not be as easy as it looks on paper, but it might actually be worth it.”
The image was originally posted to Reddit by Redditor FauxKiller on November 18, and the Reddit community has since shared more images of cover images posted to the site, many of which have the word Hunger in the text.
“You are the best friend,” one Reddit user wrote of the Redditor.
“Please don’t let the other person’s experience of the title affect you.
Fauks comments are shared more often than not.
“You are so kind.
I love it,” another Redditor wrote.
A spokesperson for Amazon did not immediately respond to ABC News’ request for comment.
