A few weeks ago I started my first new job at a local book publishing company.
I had never been a fan of the idea of being a bookseller in the first place.
My first job was not a very fulfilling one.
I was constantly feeling like a failure and feeling like I wasn’t doing anything right.
I just wanted to get a good job, but I didn’t feel I was really making any money.
I didn: “I want to be happy.
I want to get paid well.
I have a family to feed and I have my own expenses.
I am going to have to spend money on my own things.”
When I was hired at my new job I had no idea what to expect.
I wasn: A guy with no formal training in the publishing industry; A woman with a passion for bookselling; A person who would not be comfortable with the idea that she might be the new head of a company.
When I walked into the bookselling office, I was completely unprepared for the experience.
I am an avid reader of all kinds of books.
I also love reading nonfiction.
