This was not a letter about getting the pastor to read the Bible for me.
He had been a pastor for 15 years, and he knew the importance and value of the Bible and I was hoping that he might take a peek.
I called him and said, I want to write to him about this.
What do you want to know?
He said, Read the Bible?
I was stunned.
He never said he would read it, but he never said no.
He said that he thought I could use his Bible as a guide for the people who would be coming to him.
